Larry Silberg, DVM

Dr. Larry Silberg Dr. Larry Silberg is the hospital director of Palmyra Animal Hospital. The major force behind the Veterinary Housecall Service of Rochester from 1998-2006, Dr. Silberg has cared for pets at Palmyra since 2007.

Dr. Silberg completed his undergraduate education at Brooklyn College and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He went on to attend veterinary school at the University of Perugia in Perugia, Italy. He graduated magna cum laude and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982.

After returning to the United States, Dr. Silberg established his own mixed animal veterinary practice. Along with dogs and cats, he also cared for farm animals and horses. He is a member of a number of local and state veterinary organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Association and the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Rebecca Nealey, DVM

Photo Coming Soon! Dr. Rebecca Nealey has cared for pets as a general practitioner at Palmyra Animal Hospital since May 2009. A native of Penfield, Dr. Nealey began her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant at Penfield Veterinary Hospital when she was in high school.

Dr. Nealey completed her undergraduate education at the Pennsylvania State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Biology in 1991. She went on to attend the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. That year, she received the Petsmart "Human Animal Bond" award. Following veterinary school, she completed a large animal internship at the University of Illinois. Internal medicine and preventive care are among her many professional interests.

Horseback riding, hiking and camping are just some of Dr. Nealey's many hobbies. She shares her home with five horses and two cats, Masala and Little One.

Mary Ruth Brown, Hospital Supervisor

Mary Ruth Brown is the hospital supervisor at Palmyra Animal Hospital. A member of the staff since 2004, she loves working at the hospital because the clients, staff and animals are great! Mary Ruth enjoys working with animals and getting to know all the clients that come into the hospital. Mary Ruth spends her free time with her husband, their three children and their pets. Her four–legged family members include four cats, McGrady, Shamus, Aislin and Rev, and two dogs, Darla and Marble. In her spare time, Mary Ruth can be found watching her children play sports, camping, hiking and going to the movies (for the popcorn, of course!).
